Karen Voisin Interview On CKWR Radio
 
Rotary Kitchener Waterloo's 5-Club Membership Committee arranged for an on-air interview with CKWR Radio in Kitchener Ontario April 29th 2021 as part of National Immunization Awareness week.
 
The focus of the interview was on Rotary’s Polio vaccine program and resolve to rid the world of Polio forever. Other local Rotary initiatives were discussed in the interview

Rotary Waterloo was thrilled to have as our guest speaker  Clarence Cachagee
  • Clarence is from Waterloo Region and has an undeniable spirit for change.  With a primary focus on working with the Spirit within, he is a helper, visionary and author who is known for investing his whole self into his community.  Clarence originates from Chapleau Cree First Nation and calls Cambridge his home.  He is the visionary behind Crow Shield Lodge which is a place for reconciliation and land based teaching.  For more information on Crow Shield Lodge click HERE

our guest speaker will be Fitzroy “Fitz the Whip” Vanderpool
  • Born in Trinidad, Fitz Vanderpool went on to become a renowned professional world boxer with six titles under his belt.  Fitz is also a humanitarian by nature.  After settling in Kitchener, Ontario and establishing a name for himself he decided to give back to his community, opening his own boxing academy in Kitchener in 2003.  The Whip Boxing Academy is a state of the art facility that provides a place for young people to learn the art of boxing while building self-confidence, self-esteem and self-discipline.  With May being Youth Service Month, we’re excited to have Fitz join us to share the great work he does as an educator and role model within the community.
 
The lottery is supported by the work of five Rotary clubs in Kitchener and Waterloo, proudly serving the community for nearly 100 years. To play  click on the catch the ace cards above.
 
Draws are held every Thursday until the Ace has been caught. Each week the a winner is selected at random and wins the weekly draw and if the winners card is picked and they have the ace of spades they will win the grand prize.
