Pints for purpose is a Rotary Waterloo program designed to assist Restaurants and Pubs in the recovery from the Covid 19 pandemic. During the pandemic due to provincial restriction many establishments were forced to close or have significantly reduced income.

Pints for purpose has three purposes.
  • To help bring in business to establishments that have been adversely affected by Covid 19.
  • Raise funds or items for other organizations in our community.
  • Bring Rotary Waterloo members out in a social setting to reconnect in person after a year of on line meetings.

Our August 2021 events supported Corizon’s back-to-school backpack campaign.
Due to the generous support of our members and others, Rotary Waterloo was able to generate $1000.00 from the club and members as well as various donations of back packs and school supplies.
Rotary Waterloo was able to provide 75 back packs filled with school supplies for kids in grades K-12!

September 2021 events will support KW Little Free Diverse Libraries.
The Purpose is to donate books by diverse authors (specifically black, Indigenous, persons of color and those who identify as LGBTQ+) or making a cash donation for us to purchase books.

Rotary Waterloo’s Pints for Purpose takes place at various establishments on alternating Tuesday evening’s across from our club meetings.
